this is a game that needs to come to america keep graphics not realistic, add more to the plot. it felt fast in some places. I liked how suikoden 3 had a trinity sight system and this one had something like it.
I think that's mostly due to the spell system. But since the translated ROM does well I'm as confounded as you are. Because its a solid (allbeight hard) game with superb music and graphics. If they retooled it for the DS it would be hot as heck. =)

I have the original cart (couldn't resist, although I the battery died), too bad games like this never hit anything outside of Japan. And translating the entire magic system from Katakana to Rômaji is just great work the translators/ROM hackers ... But I still like "The Flame And The Arrow" a little more than that track, hehe.
Beautiful gamebut it hard as fuck if you play in classic way: lv up, buy better equip etc.. Because even first boss still far stronger than our team. And it suddenly much easier when we make good mantra!

OK, this confirmed that The Spirit Chaser is Salent's boss theme. OK, I know Sion's boss theme is Strange Encounters...but...what Riza's boss theme?

I remember playing FF6 after this and being disgusted at how static the characters and enemies are douring battle.
